Feeling of something stuck in upper throat part - cancer?

Hi there.
I am tired of reading posts of people here who complain about their symptoms about their feelings of something stuck in throat but never say what was their resolution for the problem.
Here's my case below:
I've suffered from really bad headaches since January 2013. OTC meds stopped giving me relief and my quality of life was so poor! Since then I went to neurologists, several, mara CT scans, an MRI, an MRA and nothing showed up. As nothing showed up my neurologist decided I had Tensional headaches and put me on treatment for that with anti depressants. A few months later I told him they were not doing a thing and he decided to switch the meds in October to Venlafaxine.The headaches never went away but they're better than at the beginning even after I've stopped the meds (I've stopped in November 2013). The problem of this thread began when I started taking the Venlafaxine med thing. Two or three days after the beginning of the treatment I started to feel that something was stuck in my throat and at first I thought it was just temporary. But no, after a month I complained about that to my neuro and he ordered some CT scan to my pharynges and soft tissue which came both negative. More than 3 months have passed since the beginning of that and the feeling persists and I thing is a little worse but I'm not sure. It is in the upper part of my throat, right after my tongue on the left side. It is always present and sometimes I feel it more than other but when I swallow saliva it just feels at its peak! When eating I don't feel nothing or just a small little sensation. When breathing I might be able to feel that feeling to, it's also like something poking me on the left side in upper throat. I also went to see an ENT a month ago who saw my mouth just with a light and said it all should be ok (that didn't get me any relief at all tho). So, I'm freaking out and I'm scared to death this could be cancer of nasopharynge or oropharynge. Since August I'm also feeling on the right side (the opposite of the throat though) a fullness in my ear (it started with a big pain in the ear and then just this symptom remains) and also feel tinnitus every time even when I go to sleep.


So, what do you guys think about this? What do you say about cancer? I am so but so so scared! (and people think I'm starting to be paranoid about my health but they don't feel what I feel …) I don't really think it is GERD.

I would also appreciate replies from people who've written about this feeling in the past and could find some resolution/finding about that matter or what was their diagnose.

Ok, I forgot to mention that.
The concept is kinda weird… I didn't know that as well. It is described in wikipedia as: Laryngocele refers to a congenital anomalous air sac communicating with the cavity of the larynx. The results say I've on both sides of larynge but on the left (which is where I get more discomfort) it is larger.
However the description does not look to point to my symptoms but in reality that may be the cause… Only the ENT will say after he scopes me (maybe...)

what is Laryngoceles?  some thiong to do with the vocal cords?

Ok. Did my second CT scan that the ENT ordered. The results came back today and according to what they can see in a CT scan they say I have laryngoceles. I am so irritated whit the fact that the first Ct scan done in a Hospital came back with nothing and this one made on a private institute shows this results. Well, at least I know what I may have. And at least nothing worse was found, ufa! Now I'm going to schedule with my ENT another appointment in a few days to see what he does say. It is interesting that "laryngocel" was never talked about here in medhelp as a diagnosis thing.

Thanks for the replies :) Yeah, but would an inner ear infection present like that? That's because the ENT looked into them (with the light) and saw nothing… I am still so concerned that this can be cancer of the pharynx (despite the fact that it's a pretty rare condition but we never know). I think I'll only find some relief if my doctor makes an endoscopy and sees nothing (i hope so!). Might this all be anxiety?

could be an inner ear infection thar would feel like that.  you have done all the right things to check it out,  when i lay down i have acid reflux some times if my head gets loww it will come up in my throat and burn bad one night it also got in my nose.  it burns bad. i sleep on several pillows.  and take my acid reflux medicine when i have spicy food are a late supper.  my doctor told me not to lay down until 3 hours after i ate. you might see a different doctor for a different result.  mandy876

Thank you very much for the reply, sorry but I was off the pc these days.
Well, I went to the ENT again two days ago. He saw my nose, ears, throat and made an indirect endoscopy and found nothing, said everything was super normal, not even a swollen thing. He then touched with his hands in my neck and looked for any lump, nothing (thank god). I found some relief there. He ordered another CT scan to the cervical to see the Hyoid bone area. I told him I was really concerned and scared about cancer but he was always smiling to me and told me to this 19 year old guy don't worry, and to be strong! Of course I felt more relieved but the symptoms persist. I found a few days that I might have a thing called Cricopharyngeal spasm and it definitely matches my symptoms but I don't know. If the exam comes back negative and the symptoms persist my ENT said he would do the direct endoscopy to the throat to see the lower part.

I'll give updates and, please, if someone else feels like this or have experienced this once don't be shy and express yourself here ;)

When the tests all come back negative and thousands upon thousands of dollars have been spent, doctors will still not recommend a two week trial of chiropractic.

Your complaints could be caused by a chiropractic problem and nobody is qualified to find and treat these problems but a chiropractor.

Regarding safety, chiropractors pay less for their malpractice insurance than you pay for your car insurance. Don't believe the competitive hype - see a chiropractor for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.
