Freaking Out

I am having a wide range of symptoms...but the doctor's can't seem to figure out what is wrong. So I will list my symptoms here in hopes of hearing some good news. 1) Beginning of January I began to notice a rash the started on the corona and extended to the head (glands) of my penis. I am circumcised. These bumps also scatter throughout the entire head and sometimes get red and swollen. The urologist said that this is normal, yet I find that hard to believe. Also, some of these "bumps" turn pimple like and white sometimes. Still, the doctor says this is normal. :/ 2) The skin on my penis began to flake off and peel, almost as if it were sunburned. Doctor prescribed me Ketacanazole cream, which relieved the peeling, but didn't stop the itch I had acquired. 3) My testicles began to itch extremely bad...like ridiculously. I knew I had a fungus, but the doctor said the ketacanzole will help that as well. (Nothing yet) 4) The skin on my glans penis began to be very very scaly, and rough..and shiny, about to crack almost. Also, my urethra became inflamed and red and hurts to the touch, and a small sore developed next to it. It was all tested for herpes...NEGATIVE TEST RESULTS...The ketacanzole did however rid of this texture on the glands penis. 5) Developed a small pimple like bump on my perinea (are between testicles and anus)...which went away but I can still feel sensation there every now and again. 6) Sometimes my testicles get shiny and almost leathery looking. ;/ 7) Was diagnosed with Blastocitis Hominis (Intestinal Parasite) and will start medication for that soon. 8) New doctor said she doesn't think this is a fungus at all, better yet just an irritation. She has given me Hydrocortizone cream which relieves the itchy testicles, but does nothing about the redness and irritation of the testicles or urethra. Please someone help me...I can't go on with the diagnoses of this being (normal) because it most definitely is not.

Thank you Iwuk...I believe that it also could be an allergic reaction...but it most definitely is not HPV...All Dr's who have seen it say it is ABSOLUTELY not HPV

Hi, based on what you are describing it could be an allergic reaction or maybe HPV. Either way I would see a different doctor as suggested and have a complete STD screen for all virus' and bacteria. Just to rule it out! If ketoconazole helped you might want to consider that this is fungal or even Trich as this is sensitive to the 'zole' group of meds. Don't give up!!

Consult a -different- doctor. Many doctors get it right the first time or not at all.

What's normal and what isn't?

They look like pimples, these are small pearly penile papsules, and yes, do do look like pimples, but are actually not. They really are tiny glands. They are usually in the margins of the penis head and though not uncommon to have them at 40, they typically occur in the teenage years.
Swelling of the skin called lymphocele that might appear after masturbation or sexual intercourse is also normal. They usually appear on the foreskin or in the shaft of the head. It's normal and goes away by itself without after-effects.

What's NOT normal is basically anything that wasn't mentioned previously. If it give you discomfort like itching, it's red or purple, it has pus, it stinks or it looks gross. Go see a doctor.

Teenagers are the ones usually bothered with penis or testicle pimples, but it is said that it is not uncommon for eight out of ten men to have penis pimples at some point in their lives. There is no need to worry as most of the time penis pimples go away as a person grows older or disappear in a matter of weeks if it occurred later in life.

But the thing is that most of the time they don't. It is not best to just sit it out and wait until it disappears. If they persist it is best to consult a doctor.
