could you possibly be allergic to meds that you may be taking?
Of course, no one can diagnose this online for you; however, the rash may go along with the lupus; have you explored that? Have you googles Diflucan to see what the adverse reactions are? Sometimes doctors are not aware if the reaction is rare....but rare still means it does occur. Have you seen a gastroenterologist about the fungus in your esophagus? I had lesions in mine and have been taking Dexilant for several years to cure them, as well as keep the gastric reflux under control. If you haven't seen a GI, you should. It might also have something to do with the transfusions you had. One never knows, but try looking up your medication. That's how I found out that Levaquin (the drug of choice for upper respiratory infections) can cause hives. I had them a year before I did my own research and then told my doctor!! He had no clue, because it is a rare allergic reaction. Good luck.
Hi and sorry you are going through all this. I think the red hands and feet may be due to your lupus or a drug that is given to your for the lupus. Are they sore or painful? From what I read this can happen with a chemotherapy drug or with an autoimmunedisease. The autommundisease causes too many cells to be produces and causes the red hands and feet. The exact cause isn't known. But they say to elevate the hands and feet and keep the cool when you can. Things like aspirin and SSRI's can alleviate the symptoms. As for the blisters it maybe that your immune system is out of whack and causing an over sensitive reaction either to something that you are allergic to or you are out of remission. I know this isn't your normal Lupus reaction but I think your immune system is obviously off. You wouldn't have a fungus if it was doing well. You are low in immunity or you wouldn't have a fungus It could be a viral infection you got on the face but it may be a immune response of some type. What drug do they have you on for the Lupus? Maybe they need to lower it as it sounds like you are getting a reaction to too much drug. That is my opinion. BTW my best friend had lupus (though she was misdiagnosed) but she was on the standard drug plus some research drugs for a long time. So, I have seen her go through a lot (including her platelet count drop to nothing and need a transfusion for that) and now she is off all drugs and never had lupus to start with. But that is another story.
