Hand cramping during cold or when holding small objects

every time i try to grasp an object that is smaller than my hand it cramps up. also cold affects it. I don't think it is carpal tunnel because I dont have any numbness or tingling in my fingers. I just experience extreme discomfort.

Could be tendonitis---you can google this term and see if the symptoms match your own.  I have that, and oftentimes, lose grasp of an object while I am holding it.

Does this happen in both hands or in just one?  Do you experience any cramping in your legs and feet?  Do you have any health conditions, like diabetes or arthritis?  How often does it happen, and how long does one episode last?
