Has anyone experienced a flu that lasted 4 weeks

MY 15 year old daughter started out 4 weeks ago with a normal flu - 101 temp, sinus pain, nausia, headache, congestion, loose stools. It seem to be going away around the 7 day mark but then the headaches became migraines, the fever stayed around 99-100, hand tremors, nausia remained, now she has severe dizziness and back/ neck pain. It is going on 12 days out of school, she just started vomiting four times a day and no sign of getting better. One of her class mates have similiar symptoms for just as long with less headach issues that started around the same time. She has been checked for Mono and Lyme disease. The DR's are classifying this as cronic migraines and cronic fatigue syndrom but I am not convinced. Has anyone else experienced this and have any suggestions on what this could be?

You may have the flu if you have some or all of these symptoms:

    fever *
    cough
    sore throat
    runny or stuffy nose
    body aches
    headache
    chills
    fatigue
    sometimes diarrhea and vomiting

*It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.

First off I would like to start by saying that in the next millennium here on earth that germs themselves are going to mutate. They are already getting stronger, by simply staying dormant in people's bodies until deemed necessary for activation in the brain/body/cells/ect.. All these doctors who make up a so called diagnoses so they can prescribe you an antibiotic without even knowing what it truly is, or maybe its an educated guess none the less._who knows_ I have been miss diagnosed and poorly prescribed, thus making me sicker now than I have ever been. Now Im done taking everything and am letting my body do its thing."on its own like it should' Sometimes people have to learn/ except/ and live life like they don't care/ or dying < Ohh.. wait I cant say that either because everything is a classification of baloney, Hence words like depression or infection rather than Virus. I'm happy as can be now I abuse my body to keep it in a stable stage to simply see if it can do it on its own.. Its been almost 5weeks strait that I have been sick.. That's not all though, I have had a mixture of effects that seem like its happening from more than one infection, its possible you have the same thought I have. Send me a message if you want ~@ce

I can see why the doctors think she has CFS and chronic migraines.  Never take CFS lightly.  It is very life disrupting.  Never take chronic migraine lightly either, as I have that myself, so I know how life disrupting that is.  Did they test for autoimmune levels?  It should've been done as a routine part of the testing, but I've known doctors to be dismissive of this with young people.  She clearly has some sort of chronic illness, and the pattern of fevers you're describing does sound like some kind of autoimmune illness.

Lyme diagnosis can actually be missed for many years, and the Western Blot doesn't always catch it.  There were some other tests that folks on the forum were talking about, so you'll want to ask about that, too.
