Has anyone experienced this

I have a friend who has been suffering the following symptoms for a long time now.  She has been to so many doctors and dentists and has had so many tests but no one cannot pinpoint her problem.  It started with a stomach ache then progressed to open sores in her mouth and loss of weight.  She can only eat meat and some veggies.  If she eats anything else she gets another sore in her mouth.  Please if anyone has any ideas please let me know so I can tell her.  Thank you.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your friend could be having low Vit B12, iron deficiency, herpes, a bad acid reflux, IBS or any other inflammatory bowel disease or any food intolerance.
Since I cannot examine her and know other related conditions she may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP to run tests and examination to clinch a diagnosis.
Take care!

You know I just found out she is going to see a allergist.  It does make sense.  I hope he can help her.  I know she had a colonoscopy so maybe crohn's is ruled out.  Good idea on the food diary.  So far she can only eat veggies and meat.  Good news is that she has not lost anymore weight.  But she has lost so much she cannot afford to lose anymore.  Thank you for your advise.  Will let you know if the allergist finds anything.

I wonder if she has been to an allergist?  It is the best way to rule out if she has some bad allergies.  I know that lemon, oranges, and citrusy foods can do this to me.  I would pick up some mouthwash made by biotene.  It heals the mouth and puts it back into balance.  I would also tell her to make a food diary.  I have to watch artificial orange and lemon candies, too.  Have they checked her for Crohn's Disease?  I hope you are able to help her out.

I don't know if she is on an inhaler.  I would have to ask her.  She used to eat a lot of sweets and processed food.  She can't anymore.
