Help! Its ruining my marriage

I had a severe SJS attack in '99 that I healed from, but have since had a heat stroke, multiple idiopathic anaphalaxis attacks with massive facial and oral swelling, and chronic urticaria that resulted in the loss of my job.  I used to have immunosuppressant therapy with massive steroid doses that would alleviate the attacks for up to 2 years at a time.  This last time I was sent to a specialist who advised that I may have about 3-5 years left.  Why?  Are the attacks going to get worse?  I used to be able to avoid my triggers, but now it happens for no reason and I'm not doing better on the urticarian diet. I also have night jerks all night long that has run my hubby into another room.  Is this a new sympton or something neurological?  Some of them are so strong I 'jump' from the bed when I'm sleeping and wake up so exhausted and sore.  I stopped taking all of the meds for anxiety and depression months ago with no help.  What's going on?
