Hypoxia Right Lung Infiltrate

My daughter is 2 years old. About 9 months ago she got RSV and phemonia and was hospitalized. Since then she's been hospitalized 7 times. They thought she may have got asthma from the RSV which is common, but they don't think so anymore. She can't handle the common cold. Her O2 stats go down to 86, breaths per minute around 60. The olds she gets aren't even bad. It could just be a stuffy nose. They usually give her breathing treaments and steriods. Neither seem to really help. Usually a couple of days and assistance with oxygen is the only thing. She will be seeing a specialist, but not for another month. She just got out of the hospital again a couple days ago. What could be wrong with her. Doctors know that xrays show right middle lobe lung infiltrate, hypoxia, and her pulse and blood pressure goes up really high(maybe from the meds).

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I am so sorry to hear about your little one. If she still has lung infiltrates probably the RSV is still persisting. Other possibilities are localized pneumonia, croup, bronchiolitis, bronchitis and asthma. It would be good if her eosinophil status is seen. Often a high eosinophil count causes lung infiltrates and poor ability to handle colds. You will be consulting a chest specialist soon. Until then the possibility of persisting RSV and high eosinophil count should be looked into. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.  Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
