I am Constantly feeling disoriented

I have been experiencing these symptoms for about a month now. It started with these episodes of my heart starting to race and pound, shortness of breath, body would feel numb. Very scary. I have been to the ER twice and an Urgent Care Center for those symptoms. They did blood work, checked my thyroid, checked my blood sugar and blood pressure, ekgs, CT scan, chest xray, and I was even put on a Holter monitor for 24 hours. They couldn't find anything.

My primary care dr thought it was anxiety and put me on lexapro and ativan, and atenolol for the heart pounding. None of these medications helped. Now I have been taken off of these medications and put on clonodine. Once I went off of those meds, I have the constant feeling of being very disoriented, almost like I'm stoned but I'm not. Sometimes I have ringing in the ears, I can hardly focus, just feel very weird all the time. It's so scary. I lost my job and can't even drive anymore because of all of this.

New symptom that started yesterday, I sometimes see a very faint rainbow strand in my vision.

My doctor is going to contact a neurologist for me to go see, but I am just so scared over this. I'm terrified it'll never go away and I feel very alone with all of this. Anyone with the same issues and have a diagnosis?

Hello,

I am glad you are going to see a Neurologist, it is probably nothing major, but, it is best to find out.

I had some strange issues a long time ago, my doctor recommended a chiropractor, he adjusted my neck, and I started to get better. Maybe this would help you as well.

Very sorry to hear this - I'm scared too, I'm also undiagnosed.  I am not an MD but I think the neurologist can help, those are all neurological symptoms.  My guess is they'll do a brain MRI first.  When I complained of tinnitus a few years ago they did this for me.
