I don't know whats wrong with me?

Two weeks ago I had the flu it took about 4 days to get threw the whole thing. About 5 days ago I went out to dinner, never ate anything hot, but after I took a bite of bread my tongue went numb. Hours later it went away, but I tried the bread to see if it happened again and it did. This time it took till 2 days ago for the numbness/tingling/burning feeling to go away. But now I have a constant sweet taste in my mouth where things should be spicy or salty. I also have numerous cysts on my under arms and maybe 1 or 2 in the groin area. I am overweight, trying to lose. I am not taking any medications.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I thought diabetes but my blood sugar has been normal.

Thank you for your response. I have an appointment this Thursday and will let you know what he says... As for the cysts I've always had them since I hit puberty ( shold have included that) but they seemed in abundance during that time, like I had 4 under one arm (not directly on the surface but could feel them) and 3 under the other. They cysts in my groin area are on the inner-thighs and one on the bikini line but nothing like Herpes on the genital area. My guess is it is the second condition you suggested which I will be sure to bring up with my Doctor. They also seem to come and go not exactly sure what that means.

I don't have any symptoms of MS except for the numbness of tongue and there is no history of that in my family.

I will keep you posted and thank you!
Is it possible that I have a food allergy I didn't know about?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Numbness of tongue is seen in Multiple sclerosis, anxiety, bell’s /facial palsy, cancers and in food poisoning.
With the presence of cysts in groin and under arms and a sweet taste in mouth, get tested for herpes.
The other possibility is a skin condition called hidradentis Surppurative.
It is difficult to comment beyond this. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
