Infection / Lipitor / MS

I have been on Lipitor for 5 years now and have tolerated the drug fairly well.
Back in June I had a sexual related close call where I was treated with an immunoglobulin shot and 2 hep b vaccine shots.
Starting in August I began to experience strange sensations in my upper right back.
Ultrasounds, scopes etc were done and all was fine.

Things settled down until around 5 weeks ago and the sensation came back.
Around 3 weeks ago at night I noticed my fingers tingling and going numb when I was asleep...this occured almost nightly. It started with my left and then remained predominately in my right. It is also something that would happen very rarely before.
I would get sensations in my left pectoral muscle as well.

2 weeks ago something bit me on the left hand and my finger got hot for around 4 hours.
Last week I noticed strange red marks on my left hand.
They healed and now jumped to my right hand.....and are a little more pronounced.

The whole time this was happening I still was experiencing what my Dr explained was ulnar nerve sensations...he claimed they were common.

Two days ago I walked around NYC and had pain in first my left and then my right leg...it was bad enough that I soaked in a tub to get rid of it. So I had nerve sensations now in both hands on and off and now my legs.

My Doctor has me tested for liver function...everything ok...kidneys through urine...everything ok....
He even tested for syphillis.....because of the spots.....ok but he is retesting.
I saw him today and he is testing CPK for possible Lipitor problems.
I am off Lipitor.

My question to you...what would be your take
Is it Lipitor problems....the insect bite gone wrong....syphillis....herpes

or worse yet with the fact that both by ulnar nerves and sciataca are acting up....(they never did before) could it be some MS type related problem caused by the drugs shot into me back in June..

I know this is alot of stuff thrown your way

Not sure it's the Lipitor, as this is not a normal side effect of the medication.  I agree however, with the CPK levels being drawn.

I would pursue a neurological cause.  Obtaining vitamin B12 levels can be considered, as well as obtaining nerve conduction studies to evaluate for peripheral neuropathy.

If sciatica or a pinched nerve in the back is a concern, you can consider obtaining an MRI to exclude a herniated disk.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician, or in conjunction with a neurologist.

Thanks for the answer...

What around the rash on my palm...could the thing that bit me have caused this?

(there was a pincher sticking in my finger for day...i thought it was my own hair)

Could something have bit me and caused some sort of neuroilgal reaction along with the rash?
