Itchy hives/welts at night; what could this be?

For about two weeks now, I've been getting itchy hives whenever I lay on my bed or sit on the sofa. Mind you, my husband and children sleep and sit on that same bed and sofa and don't get the hives. I don't feel as if I am getting bit by anything--my initial thought was maybe it was caused by dust mites, but the mattress has been covered and I haven't noticed any...and I am the only one getting the hives. I just feel very itchy and the hives are of a noticeable size and all over my body. It doesn't happen when I am at work. Also, I went out of town with my husband a week ago and stayed at a hotel, and I got the same hives. I am not sure what this could be. I don't have any other symptoms other than heartburn every day, which is probably unrelated.
