Hi:I have A.S., or Anklosyn Spondilitis(Bamboo Spine disease and am 57 years old,so have had very sore and aching arch and heel pain with neck, back, hip pains. My question is does or can My disease cause itchy shoulder blades?
I too have an itchy shoulder blade on left and sometimes on the right as well. I was told by doctor it is neurological damage, that's why nothing on the skin appears. It could very well have to do with your spine. I always know where my backscratcher is, it's imperative! Good luck. :)
Itchy shoulder blades can be caused by dry skin, eczema, an allergy to detergent or even a condition of Diabetes Insipidus.
I use Gold Bond anti itch lotion as I find it works better than any others I've tried. I have itchy shoulder blades also - but mine are from a form of eczema.
Hope this information was helpful. Wishing you the best outcome
