Hello I've posted on here before, but quick overview.
Diffuse, symetrical joint pain: wrists, unlar hands, ring fingers, knees, ankles.
Pain is generally mild and seems to come and go with the weather.
Have been tested for autoimmune diseases (Rheum Art., lupus, etc) and was negative. Have appt. Feb 6 with Rheumatologist.
No restriction of motion or weakness in any joint, just mild pain. Duration 4 months.
Now, just the last 4-5 nights I've been experiencing hand numbness about 1x/night while sleeping. Mainly this has been on the ulnar sides of the hands (pinky finger) but recently 1x it was just the medial part (thumb and adjacent 2 fingers). Usually it is just 1 hand, although sometimes if I sleep on my back, both ulnar regions will get numb. Numbness goes away quickly on waking and moving the hands as if I had slept on them. I've never experienced anything like this before, usually if I sleep on a limb the whole thing goes numb. I'm going to try wearing braces tonight to see if I am compressing the wrists while sleeping.
Oh, I'm a 35 y.o. male, very active, average weight (could lose 10-15 pounds to be at ideal). No significant prior medical hx.
Any thoughts...do these symptoms go together in a way that indicates anything in particular? I'm stumped.
