Left Index Finger Twitching

My left index finger  developed a strange twitch stop and starts again been maybe almost 2 months now.....it's really annoying so i sometimes turn my hand into a fist so i wouldn't get that twitch again...i work all day in front of a computer  for over ten yrs now...and don't know if it's due to the way i position my hand on the desk...or it's a sign of something more serious.. i'm right handed, by the way.

Have your doctor check you for neurological issues if you can and also see if they can make sure there is no other reason for this. An EMG might be a test they might order. A neurologist might be of some help here. I have been having twitching like this for over two years, but have had some relief staying hydrated and taking supplements. However, I still have no answer and have had low electrolyte problems. Another thing, have your doc check out your thyroid. Mine is low and I was told this could cause twitching.
Good luck.
