Left temple pain and headaches

Just a few days ago I noticed a bruised feeling pain in my left temple. It only hurts when I touch it but it's a very sharp, intense pain. I have been experiencing migraines/headaches for the last week and they've been coming on and off in one week cycles. I looked into TMJ but I don't have any of the jaw ache, clicking, popping, etc. symptoms, therefore I don't believe it is TMJ. Could anyone help?

Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to bring those points up with my doctor. As far as an update just recently i noticed the same pain in my right temple as well, currently both hurt equally and there is a lot of pressure around both sides of my head.

If you feel the pain in your temple while touching it, it could either be a pinched cervical spinal nerve or temporal arteritis or inflammation of the temporal blood vessels. You cannot completely rule out TMJ because TMJ can present only with temple pain also without the jaw symptoms being prominent.
The third possibility is sinusitis. This can also cause a throbbing headache.
Discuss this with your doctor as it is difficult to comment beyond this on net.
