Sorry for the typo...you only feel minimal pain. Not much at all and for oly a few seconds.
They are cortisone, however you get a local anesthetic. I also ask for sedation as well. The "sedation" takes the edge off. you are not asleep but you feel miial pain. It's really not that bad when you consider the back pain you are in. And it's over so fast.
I have had several Epidural injections in my back and the helped tremendously. Maybe suggest this to your dr. (orth).
yes you are young to have such problems I am sorry you are in alot of pain. maybe suggest to your doctor an mri which shows everything hrniated disc or pinched nerve. have they offered epidural shot in the back ? good luck.
No i havnt tried that, but im not really a fan of needles. These epidural shots, r they the cortisone ones? if so, my dad has had them and said that they are extremly painful
Well, i have been to the doctor so many times regarding my back, they say its sciatica, i have had an xray done on it, and it showed nothing, i have been given muscle relaxants and ibprofen, which doesnt last for long. Ice doesnt help, in fact it probably makes it worse, because its so sensitive. I know its a problem with my back, but its cause such bad leg pain that there is no position i can lie, stand, sit or anything that will give me the slightest relief, its excruciatingly bad. I have been to the physio, and i have pain relief for a bit, them bam! its comes back with avengence!!! They even tried to strap my back up with straping tape, which was a waste, it did absolutly nothing!!! Im only 19!! This shouldnt be happening to me!!!
Have you been to your doctor could be a pinched nerve or strained muscle in back I have a herniated disc in the 15 area the small of the back if you have swelling and pain have it checked out use ice for 15 min every hour try ibuprofen for pain and swelling. The symptoms you have can be caused from your back check it out with your doctor. Good luck.
