Perfectly normal, anesthesia will make her vomit and she has had some pretty invasive surgery so low-grade fever is expected.

Postoperative low temperature, nausea and vomiting are unpleasant "normal" immediate and early side effects of surgical procedures due to a combination of factors, the most prominent ones being associated with the administration of anaesthetic and haemorrhage.
As the effects of the anaesthesia wear off, normally within 24 hours or less after the surgery, the patient should start experiencing improvement and better temperature regulation.

I'm sure the hospital staff are aware of these aspects of surgery and since the procedure was successful, everything should fine, however, it is wise to keep an eye for any prolonged effects or further complications.

Best wishes to both of you.

Cheers.

As your wife "threw up" a few hours after her surgery, it is highly likely that this is because of the anaesthetic that she was given.

I have experienced a similar problem after every op.  The only time I was fine when the nursing staff forgot to give me a pre med before getting the normal anaesthetic before my major op.

Ensure that she drinks small sips of water until things settle down.  Don't worry if she does not want to eat as long as she gets her fluids.
If the vomiting persists, it may be that she might have picked up a stomach virus.

Wishing her a speedy recovery.
