Lump in side of the neck

About halfway down from the back of my ear to my shoulder I have a very small lump.  It's not noticeable and most people can barely even feel it when I show them.  It's soft and there are two lumps in there (I believe it's slowly getting smaller but I can't be sure since it's so small).  I've had it for a couple of months now and it's been varying size.  It appears when I mess with it too much, it gets inflamed and irritated and when I leave it alone, it all but goes away.  Either way, it's bothering the **** out of me (no other symptoms, but it weighs on my mind) and I was curious if anybody knew what it was.  Thanks in advance!

It could be a cyst, I would have it checked my your family doctor though so that he /she can rule out any other possible problems.
