Metallic taste only when I have pain

I recently started having severe pain in one spot in my lower right abdomen which they're trying to figure out. I had a CT which didn't show anything abnormal.

When I have the pain, I get a metallic taste in my mouth. When the pain goes away, the metallic taste goes away also. Any ideas on what this might be? It might explain what's causing the pain also. The doctors have no idea so far.

Thank you.
