Minier's or neurological disease?

My mom has experienced a terrible situation two days ago we were expecting it to be a heart attack but the doctor said her heart is ok,the problem started with a vertigo and an increasing heart rate which could reach to more than 150,she also couldnt breath at the momment so we called the emmergeny they took her to the hospital, even in the hospital it was happening like an intermittent hysteria,it was being repeated every few mins with the same symptoms increading heart rate, vertigo, and she was also feeling a burn in her head and her hands numbness in her hands and feet when the attack starts and feeling cold as well, after all the dr said that it might be a minier's disease and gave her an injection she started feeling better after that,do u think that all these symptoms can be from a minier's disease?
She is 51 yo and has diabetese and high bp also.

Yes, I hope it never happens again too. Thanks for telling me what the ENT gave her, that's helpful. I do agree about the panic attack too.  Does she by the way, have a history of anxiety?

Actually she was so calm at that time she was sitting down and using her phone, but in general she has a nerveous personality she is worried all the time.
She used to faint when she was in a situation of losing someone,i also remember few years ago when we lost my cousine she started having shortness of breath we got afraid she would faint and tried to make her calm and the symptoms passed by in a few mins, and we never took it serious i told her gp about it and she said that its normal in such situations its bc of the too much stress and sorrow,so we just left it.
And what makes me worried is that she lost her confidence since that day it happend last friday and she is afraid everyday if it happens again, and u know in such conditions stress just makes it worse,it can lead to another attack and turn to a chronic disease after several attacks.im not even sure what kind of specialists she needs to visit, ent neurologist or a psychiatrist, well about psychiatrists i know the panic attack thing is related to their speciality but i dont want my mom to be given thousands of psychiatric drugs and just get more sick and deppressed, cause thats what they do all the time.so maybe the neurologist is a better option.
I tried to study alot about these two disease during the last few days,a panic attack might happen once in a lifetime to anyone,to be optimistic,it might be her first and last experience hopefully.plus diabetese might be the reason behind all this stories.
Again thanks alot for ur help.

Hm.  So, my knowledge of Meniere's is that it is a chronic condition.  I actually thought I had it once when I had about a year and a half plus of intermittent vertigo, ear fullness, ear ringing and hearing loss on one side.  whew, it was bad.  It's a little debilitating. Well, actually it can be a lot because I also get nauseated and vomit with vertigo and have to basically lay still.  This is not conducive to my lifestyle.  ha.
Anyway, I'd have not thought Meniere's from your description.  However, I'd love to know what that shot was that gave her that made her start to feel better!!  Any ideas?

So, I think she needs a full work up.  ER's are good but they just are good for that acute situation. They get patients out the door but don't really provide much of an answer or help for how to avoid the issue in the future. So, she needs to see her general doctor for a full work up to describe these symptoms.  I'm glad they ruled out her heart as that would have been what I worried about or stroke.  So, go to the GP first and find out if there are anythings that they can find.  And if she has another episode like this, I agree she needs to see a neurologist.

With regards to inner ear issues and vertigo (Meniere's) ---  the increase in heart rate is throwing me off.  Now, we have a pain response and response to nausea that can include an increase in hr. And anxiety over the event as it is happening may happen too.  But I'm just not sure that's the case.

Again, would love to know the shot they gave her that helped!!

Thanks alot for your care, well that day they transfered her to another hospital there was a gp there and he diagnosed miniere's disease so i guess the shot was sth related to miniere's,unfortunately i was so stressed at that time and forgot to ask the name, later she visited an ent specialist she was asked for an audiometry test well the test showed that she has a hearing loss and minier's,the doc gave her two tablets betahistine and cinnarizine plus an injection chemoprozine promethazine she has to use it in case the attack happens again, soo i guess they injected her the same thing that day.
I suspected it to be a panic attack cause she had all the symptoms of a panic attack she was feeling cold ,high hr, lack of oxygen that she went on oxygen, burning and numbness in her body.she also had intermittent vertigo and vomited several times..the thing im suspecting is that she might have had a panic attack during the miniere's attack bc of the too much stress and pressure on her,or it might b one of them,i have no idea..she is feeling much better after using the medicines she needs to follow the diet that the ent dr gave her, hope it would never happen again it was a terrible nightmare
