Why is the tip of my tongue feel numb after gastric bypass surgery

It has been well over 11 months and I still have a numbing sensation on the tip of my tongue.  And every now and then I have burning sensation on the inside of my top lip.  Anyone know what this could be?

Can't say, a doctor would be better equipped to answer, and it could be totally unrelated, but if you were under general anesthesia it could be something that happened in that process.
