I got what I thought was thrush many years ago. I’d say about 9. And ever since it’s been on the inside of my mouth. I have nothing on my tongue just these weird lesions that grow on the inside of my cheeks and both lips. They bloom randomly so sometimes I have more and sometimes less and that’s like a one week period so I don’t go longer periods with less, just a few days.
I do believe I have some acid reflux. My mouth is almost always sour tasting. I’m not sick much otherwise so my immune system seems fine. I get temporary relief from antibiotics and steroids. But it’s back as soon as treatment is over. It hasn’t increased over the years or spread inside my mouth. I don’t get bad breath from it. I don’t take any medicine that would trigger thrush. And it’s not as white and mushy as thrush seems to be. I can’t identify any triggers.
They don’t have to be white to the eye, they can form OLP patterns at times. Sometimes it’s not white at all but hard to see unless you really look but I feel them very well and I can easily bite them off. I try hard not to but it’s turned into a behavior.
I just want to figure out what it is because it’s not fun at all. No thrush medication works and I don’t feel so sure anymore that it’s Candida.
Other than this I have elevated liver enzymes and I don’t know if that could be related. My blood work isn’t too impressive but since nothing stands it like BAM I can’t get enough help from doctors. I don’t understand why my immune system that is pretty kick *** can’t heal this.
Any ideas or theories welcome.
