My 5yr old can't control her urine

My 5yr old daughter was completely potty trained by age 2 and at age 3 her vaginal opening sealed itself shut not allowing her to empty her bladder completely. Then she began to loose control of her bladder and is still wetting her pants. She had surgery last yr to reopen where it had sealed shut. She started to do ok for about 2mo. She is back to wetting the bed and peeing her pants again. She started kindergarden about a month ago and they are talking about removing her from school over this. We have been dealing with this issue for over 3yrs now, and no one has been able to help her. Her urine is very strong and even after a bath she still smells of urine. She had to pee all of the sudden and if we aren't right next to a bathroom, then she can not stop it she tells me. Her father had and still has the same issues with all the sudden having to go. When she has accidents, sometimes it is just a lil tiny bit but other times it's a lot. She has been tested for many bladder/urine deseases but so far all negative. Is there anything that can help her? Please help

There are references to the effect that chronic constipation of childhood is associated with urinary incontenence and treatment for this resolving the symptoms in many.

I'm interested that she smells like urine even when she's clean.

That often means she's getting too much protein and not enough carbs.

No she isn't backed up. She just can't control her bladder. When she has to go then she has to go right then. Thanks.

No she hasn't had that test done. She has been tested for Kidney Reflux though and also during her surgery to reopen her opening, they did an exploritory just to make sure her kidneys were working properly too. She has seen multiple doctors but they always come back saying there isn't a test they can do to test her muscle. I will have to look into this test for her. Thank you!

Hi Beth, just wondering have they done the type tests where she has a full bladder and they put the little wires in and have her hold and release her muscles and they can actually see if the muscles are working? Before I had a bladder sling procedure the doctor did those tests in the office to determine that the muscles were not working properly.  But then again, she may be too young for this type of test!
