My WBC has been elevated even with Bactrum

Hi, I’m hoping for insight.  My WBC has been from 13.5-11.5 and even after being treated with Bactrum, it’s now 17.  My cortisol level is .8 this morning with fasting.  I’ve lost 20 lbs. in three weeks.  Had vomiting, mix between having diarrhea one day to not being able to have bowel movement for three to four days.  Right flank pain from bottom of rib cage to top of hip bone.  No fever, but my blood pressure is fluctuating.  I had been in ER last week for severe dehydration last Friday and pumped with saline by IV.  The next evening I was at work, had massive panic attack and collapsed.  I was rushed downstairs to ER.  My blood pressure was initially 186/120.  My normal range is 120/60.  Tachycardia, severe dehydration, and my potassium was low enough after I was given saline, I was infused with potassium by IV.  My blood pressure after I was done was 100/73.  I’ve had endoscopy and colonoscopy that we’re clear. What are the doctors going to do after the protein test to rule out multiple myeloma?

Hello~I am sorry you are having these miserable issues. How old are you? Are you near menopause? The reason I am asking is it could be related to "female" issues. Possibly an abdominal/transvaginal ultra-sound might give you some answers.

I suggest maybe seeing a gyn about this or at least ask your PCP is seeing one would help. You do seem to still have an infection and some of your symptoms do point to gyn issues.

I hope you get some help soon and feel better. God bless you.
