Nausea?

I've been experiencing some odd nausea the past few weeks. It literally just... popped up. I woke up one morning at 4 AM just feeling like I was going to roll over and puke. It went away until later that day when I ate a hamburger and, as soon as I took the first bite, was overthrown with nausea and pain in my stomach.

That was around 3 or so weeks ago and I haven't had the stomach pain until today. Since then,  I just get really nauseated after eating certain things -- I burp a lot and acid and food starts to come up (with burping or on their own). But I haven't puked once.

I was really improving and was able to get within 10 feet of something spicy without gagging. But this morning, I had crackers and canned tuna for breakfast and I didn't eat again for almost 8 hours because I hurt so bad, even though I haven't been bothered by  this combination at all throughout the weeks.

It's just a little odd... Is there anything this could be? I haven't been able to match it up with anything and I'm really hoping it isn't anything serious.

Also, off topic, but is there a way to mass communicate with the doctors on this site? I'm looking into being a doctor and would like to ask some questions.

I understand that you want to wait, but I waited (2 months) and now I have acid reflux too.  Now I have to raise the head of my bed, not eat 3 hours before bedtime, and take medication.  Fact is, I can hardly eat at all.  After just a few bites it feels like there is a brick in my stomach.  I'm not saying that that will happen to you, but if your not feeling better soon you should tell your mom.

I don't know when I'll get to see a doctor since I don't want to push for that since my mom knows about this nausea (so she'll take me if she thinks I need to go), but I will try to keep that in mind.

I suggest you get a blood test to rule out anything serious.  Chemistry panels are groups of tests that are routinely ordered to determine a person’s general health status. They help evaluate the body’s electrolyte balance and/or the status of several major body organs.

Add to that a H. Pylori screening.  That is a nasty bacteria that comes from human fecal matter.  I know... yuck!  But you can pick this up by drinking well water, or eating out even.

Do this soon ok.

Early on, I had pain in various places when my mom pushed on my abdomen (around my stomach, then I was the worse pain moving around or being touched when I woke up the next morning just because I had to pee). But I've poked around my stomach some afterwards and not experienced any pain from it.

Does it hurt when you apply pressure above your belly button too.  Because I have been suffering with just what your talking about most of this year.

I have had blood tests, buriam swallow, and an ultra sound, and everything came out good.  My doctor rubber-stamped me GERD and told me to take Protonix.  What!?  I didn't believe that.  Acid Reflux occurs when the food, and stomach acids cannot move the food along.  It is a symptom.

Finally I found a doctor that is treating me for h. pylori even though my test came up negative. (a bacterial infection of the stomach and small intestine.)  This CAN happen!  Lots of antiboitics later and I am just beginning to feel better.  Not great yet, but much better.  I can eat!!

This is serious, and if you don't treat it can cause ulsers.

Sounds like it could be your gallbladder. Should have it evaluated. See a gastro doc.
