Neck pain/tender painful glands

I have had pain in my neck, seems like the glands for over 3 weeks now.... lately I've noticed my breasts are very tender and also under my arms.

Lab tests were done and we are also waiting on results of a thyroid ultrasound and xrays.  Labs seem normal.

Any idea what could be causing these issues...

I am a non-smoker, have not had any antibiotics at this point.  I have been using an anti-inflammatory, ibuprofin and a muscle relaxer (as little as possible) at this point to help the pain.

I finally received results of Ultrasound, showed I have Thyroid Nodule and cysts.  The Xray showed that I also have spasm in my neck/spine?.

I was referred to an Endo but cannot get an appt. until at least the 14th of August.  Is this a safe amount of time to wait?

What should I expect at that time?

Hi,

It appears that you may have some source of infection in the upper part of your body, mostly the head and neck. Have you had prolonged fever, malaise or cough. perhaps discharge from the nose or ear or a tooth infection. How old are you? do you smoke?

There also remains some concern if this may be some kind of undesirable growth, however, this may also be detected partly by some radiological techniques and evaluation by your physician.

have you undergone an empirical course of antibiotics yet? you may also use some OTC pain killers to help you with the pain

Please keep us posted on your reports from thyroid exam and X rays.

Best regards
