Neck pain

Hi
For about 3 months my neck hurts, especially when i try to tilt my head back or down to the left. The pain radiates to my ear and up the left side of my head. I cant sleep on my right side , the pain is so intense. Should i see someone for this?

I've been on gapepentin for over a year for spinal stenosis, usually it works but not for this. The pain is at the bottom of head in the back. Right to the left side if middle not the face

*sidenote...I also could not even have the left side of my head rest on a pillow, pain so bad...sounds more and more like neuralgia...

Yes, it could be a disk problem. It could also be a form of Trigeminal Neuralgia. I suffer from it. Pain is severe. My latest bought (Just getting Over) originated from the below the jaw/neck. Radiated to ear, teeth, cheek, eye and forehead. At 1st I thought it was an ear infection. There are 3 nerves (TRI-geminal) in the face that will cause different pain in different locations. Typically only effects one side of the face. Treatment is difficult. Pain med. Anti-inflammatory. Soft foods, rest. Also drugs such as Tegretol (gradually increase of dosage, gradual pain relief) Gapepentin and other drugs typically prescribed. See a Neurologist. Feel Better!

I would suggest seeing a chiropractor. I have a bad disc at C5/C6 and when I get this, (also get jaw pain which can radiate into my ear) I go to my chiropractor and she fixes me right up. Good luck.
