you shouldn't ask if you're overreacting. its your health and you have every right to be concerned about it. to me, it doesn't sound too serious but definately have a doctor check it out
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You could be suffering from prostate infection or prostatitis along with UTI. This can cause rectal pain. Common causes of rectal pain are hemorrhoids, tight anal sphincter (can be caused by adhesions too) and Levator anis syndrome or spasm of levator ani muscles. Less common causes are cancer, infection, IBS and foreign body in rectum.
You need to give urine sample for testing and a rectal examination to look at condition of rectum and prostate. An ultrasound may also be required. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please consult your doctor. Take care!
not overreacting i find if you prepare yourself for the worst its usually not so bad and if it is your already prepared to take action for what comes at you next
