Please Help

My dad was admitted into the hospital a few days ago. His symptoms are, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, no appetite, tachycardia, high fever, and weakness. The doctor's have been running several test on him, and have not found anything. They recently bought in an infectious specialist. When he went in with these symptoms, he was on a regular hospital floor. His labs were okay, the only thing that was low was his potassium. The next day, they increased his potassium and started him on magnesium. Now his kidneys are showing signs of failure and the doctor inserted a catheter. He also had a normal IV and today they inserted a PICC Line. His blood test also show that the infection is now in his blood. They are unsure as to what it is, but my dad is getting worse by the minute. They have not been able to keep his temp down, and he maxes out on his Tylenol daily. He loves to fish, and now they are thinking that he was bitten by a tick. 2 of those test results came in today and they were negative. Some of the labs were sent to the mayo clinic. His white blood cell count is normal. It's as if his body does not know that he has an infection.
