Hi all,
Beginning yesterday I've developed an allergic reaction, some sort of infection, herpes or candidiasis, I really have no idea. I first noticed it due to dry lips yesterday, but it looks like it may have been at the back of my throat already?
About 6 weeks ago my girlfriend had a yeast infection which I also contracted off her, we both had it in the genital regions. We went to the doctors and were issued a cream to use.
A few days later my tongue started going white and I had bad breath - oral yeast infection? So I have been taking Inner Health Plus (an probiotic supplement) and eating natural yoghurt daily. Over the past week I haven't had any yoghurt or probiotics. Now my tongue is whitish again.
But unlike before I also have dry lips and sores within my mouth, (as you'll see in the pictures) at the roof of the mouth and at the back of the throat. My mouth or throat does not hurt at all. My lips are dry.
My other thought was it could be an allergic reaction to bread, I haven't had bread in a few weeks, yesterday I had bread, then I noticed all of this. I've heard Candidiasis infections can cause allergies to yeast based foods. Is it possible I have a Candidiasis infection and now have an allergy, or is it just the Candidiasis itself?
Or could it be herpes or another STI? My girlfriend admitted to kissing a guy with herpes a few months before we started going out - she didn't know whether she had contracted it or not. I haven't really had any signs that could point to me having herpes until now and I'm not sure whether it is herpes or not..
I think it's probably a yeast/candidiasis oral infection, but I have no idea, and I'm not sure if the red markings/sores usually occur with that sort of infection.
