PLEASE HELP! AT A LOSS! VERY SCARED!

I apologize in advance, this will be a long post and any feedback is greatly appreciated! I have been suffering for months with chronic joint, muscle, jaw and back pain w/burning sensation. Been to doctor after doctor and 2 trips to the emergency room with no answers. I feel that not knowing what is going on with my body is causing my anxiety to worsen and my quality of life to decline more and more each day. I am currently in therapy to try and cope and I take 1.5 - 2 mg of xanax per day. I have missed a lot of work and spent a lot of money seeing specialists and 2 GP''s for second opinion. I suppose I will start with my history,I am a 36yr old female, tried to conceive a child for the last year, went to fertility spec and was told that my amh was low and it may be impossible to have a child. prone to sinus infections for years, had jaw infection 1 year ago due to a botched route canal procedure, tested positive for the swine flu in may 2009, and my joint/muscle pain started around 7 months ago. My current symptoms are:
burning pain on the top of my feet
burning pain in shins, cramps, pain and numbness in calf muscles
jaw pain
burning sensation under ribs radiating to pelvis
lower back pain that radiates to hips (intense pain when i move side to side or arch my back)
pain in joints in my hands esp. thumbs (no swelling)
fatigue / some memory loss
rapid heart rate (96-100 at rest)
occasional chest pains (went to er and cardiologist - all tests normal)
wake up with palpitations
interrupted sleep
anxiety attacks
loss of appetite (lost 10 lbs in past 2 weeks currently weigh 113lbs 5' 7")
alternating constipation/diarrhea
hair loss (clumps noticed in shower)
I have been to a rheumatologist, tested negative for RA and LUPUS. Thyroid tests all came back fine, tested 3 different times. Went to ER for chest pains and rapid heart rate, all tests were normal. Went to the ER yet again last week because my back and leg pain were so bad that I could not walk, was diagnosed with a UTI even though I had no other symptoms and had a pelvic xray that showed no masses. My RBC was low but they did not mention it. I have noticed on all of my blood work documents for the past 6 months that my calcium levels have been consistently high (10.0) and my DHEA levels are way high! Went back to my GP and was told to go to another rheumatologist, but it seems that I keep getting tested for RA and Lupus and thyroid conditions. I do not know what to do. Should I see a neurologist? An endocrinologist? I noticed doing searches online that I have a lot of symptoms of hyperparathyroidism. My GP wanted me to take Zoloft for anxiety (which I DID NOT TAKE) and Toprol for rapid heart rate, but my blood pressure is low to normal so I choose for now not to take it. I am so lost and cannot take this pain anymore. Any ideas or suggestions are so appreciated, this "condition" is changing my life and I think it is pushing me into a depression. thank you!

That's a shame that they didn't mention your RBC being low!  There are many reasons for anemia, from menstrual blood loss to a kidney problem, which can make RBCs low.  You need to pursue with a doctor finding out why your RBCs are low and ask also for iron and ferritin and TIBC (total iron binding capacity) as well.  I think you should get referred to an endocrinologist level to check out for hyperparathyroidism and get other hormones checked as well, because joint pain can happen for instance, with a growth hormone problem.  Also, high levels of DHEA may indicate a problem with your adrenal(s), another thing that should be addressed by an endocrinologist.

Good for you not taking the Zoloft- that one had me feeling like I was going bonkers.  You might also try posting in the brain/pituitary tumor forum and see what the moderator there has to say.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Your symptoms could be due to any inflammatory bowel condition such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, Celiac disease (gluten intolerance), lactose intolerance or IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. However these would also cause other symptoms like loose stools, blood in stools or mucus. It could also be worms in stool.
Anemia and nutritional deficiencies due to gut problems can cause symptoms like rapid heart rate etc. aches and pains in various parts that you have can be the pain due to inflammation of gut and irritation of diaphragm.
Hence to start with you should get a stool test. Also you must consult a gastroenterologist who may run some tests to reach at a confirmed diagnosis.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
