***PLEASE HELP ME***My ear cartilage into a puss-like liquid

About the begining of July 2013, I got a pimple in my ear(which is normal, I get them every so often, but nothing like this EVER happened)& I popped it, but about 3-4days later there was this "crust" on 1 part of my ear. I pulled it off & there was really no pain. It felt like a sensation that you get when cutting thru construction paper. I couldnt see my primary MD, for 2wks, bcuz he was on vacation, so by the time I got into see him, the condition had worsened 100x. I have a pocket in my ear that I can put my finger all the way down into my ear lobe & back the opposite way. It is just filled with this dried "crust". I had to find a dermatologist to do a biopsy & an ENT. There is no infection, but the "crust" has now turned into "puss" that comes out w/out me touching it(bcuz it is now EXCRUIATING pain). I put my own mixture together(that worked EXCELLENTLY for my psoriasis) of neosporin, lanacane, Eucerion Aquaphor healing ointment, & tea tree oil on it & then cover it with with some 2x2 squares. I do this @ least 2x/day. Nobody knows what caused this or really even what it is. It is traveling inside my ear & the pain it not so much on the ear unless its touched, I have a feeling of severe pressure/pain on my eardrum area & it travels thru the right side of my head causing constant headache, behind my right eye, around the eye socket, then into my jaw & my right side of my throat, which causes a constant sore throat. I saw more than a dozen ENT specialists who have all given different opinions. 2 ENTs @ Froedert Medical College made me feel VERY "safe" by stating they will do a replacement of my cartilage once it heals. These 2 ENTs also brought up that they found something in my throat, that should be there & could be causing part of the problem, but not completely sure. When they had mentioned this, I told them that for about the last 2yrs or so I get this itching feeling like there is a hair or something (deep in the same spot where I have the pressure/pain in the ear drum area) & the only way to scratch it is by(sorry this is gross) kind of a coughing/gargle thing I have to do. About 2mos before this started, this itching feeling was happening about every day & all of a sudden these little, soft, black things that come up after I cough or whatever. After about 3wks of this black stuff coming up, I took & saved several pieces & took them to my primary & asked him to have them tested. They were just thrown out. I need for someone to PLEASE reach me w/any recomendations, doesnt matter where, even if I have to go to another country, I am scared & dont want to lose my ear. I also have a pimple(again these were normal to me) on my left ear lobe that I am scared it is the same thing. It has not changed since the right ear started.              Thank you & God bless,                          Scorpio2177

They did a swab & a biopsy(see my other comments).  I was prescribed several different antibiotics, but I have not filled any of them.  Honestly, I am on ENUF meds for my ADD, depression, & severe anxiety & for the 1st time in 20+ yrs. I am actually on a combination where for the last yr. I have felt "normal" & been stable, for the 1st time in my life & Im not going to go take some more meds when not 1 single doctor can tell me what I have or where it came from.  All they do know, is that it is not contagious.  The swab my primary did, said it came back as "skin"!?!

I did go to see a dermatologist actually, before the ENT.  He did a biopsy & I had my primary MD swab the area & it is not contagious.  All I am being told is that it is a break down of cartilage in my ear...still no official cause or diagnosis.
Thank you & God bless,

Thanks, but I had MRSA for 8mos & this is NOTHING like it. I do have to say though, that was the 1st thing I had them test for!
Thank you & God bless,

They really need to do a culture of area and have it tested to see exactly what it is. Have they mentioned putting you on any antibiotics if not else as a preventative measure?

Shame on those ENTs for letting you continue to suffer this way!!  Find another doctor, perhaps one that deals with parasites.  Or one that knows about infections.  Try to cough up the black things in the presence of a doctor, though.  As when you bring things into their office, they can't really document that it came from you.
Somewhere out there, there is a real doctor who can help you.
Perhaps a good dermatologist can help you.  Find one that is recommended by other people.

      Wishing you the best.

Did they test the sores for MRSA? With the symptoms you are having, it sounds suspicious for a MRSA infection. You should be on antibiotics. I would see an internal medicine doctor. Do not let them tell you nothing is wrong!
