Is this in your right or left arm?
Does it hurt to raise your arm over your head?
Does it hurt to reach behind you to scratch your back or put your hand in your pocket?
Does the pain radiate below your elbow?

I don't think your crazy or have anxiety. Something's wrong. It could be anything but rest assured..something is wrong. I just posted myself my frustrations. I don't know why doctors seem to thing that women always just have anxiety. These are real symptoms and I just cry every day because of the way the doctors treat me. I have anxiety from not knowing what is wrong and not getting anyone to help me...not the other way around. I have spoken to many women who have had the same experiences. It needs to stop.

I really don't think it is anxiety... Yes the pain will shoot down to my wrist and sometimes up the back of the shoulder and into the neck... I do have to sleep on my left side with my arm propped up even with my body... if there is a sudden jerk to me like almost slipping in the bathtub the pain is unbearable...

I wish I knew what was going on in regards to your problem. I have very similar symptoms and was told that I had inflamed rotator tendons and carpal tunnel. The orthopedist told me that if things didn't improve after 3 months he'd order an MRI. I see him again in January ... so far nothing has improved. I told my family doctor recently that I'm having terrible pain at times that will radiate down the side of my arm and into my wrist and hand and she said that it was my neck but I don't believe that, I have no pain in my neck. I've had no testing yet other than a shoulder x-ray which showed nothing.

Well thanks for commenting I will keep that in mind... I sure wish it was easier for somebody my age to get an insurance that I can afford... I know going to the emergency room would only be a temporary solution... but I just cant aford a dr. or a specialist...
