Petechiae concern

Hi,
I'm not sure if I should be worried, or have this checked out, but I've starting getting petechiae on both upper extremities, around my collar bone, and now I noticed one on my face and brown spots that appear like moles that I've never seen there before. The strange part is that I feel perfectly fine...

Any thoughts to this is appreciated, thank you.

Petechiae can indicate numerous illnesses.  See your physician.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Petechiae are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. They can result from autoimmune disorders, such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, bone marrow disorders such as leukemia, inflammation of the veins, as a side effect of certain medications like birth control pills. The red spots could be tiny bruises. Deficiency of Vitamin B12, folic acid, or Vit K could be the cause. They could also be fragile spider veins.
Please discuss this with your doctor and show him the red spots. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Take care!

I would recommend having a CBC drawn.  I am not sure if this problem is related to your plt count or not.
