Pregnant and confused about a positive blood result

I'm 10 weeks pregnant so my OB Doctor ordered lots of blood tests. I got a positive blood result for Varicella Zoster, the level was really high, but whats weird is that i have absolutely no symptoms for Chicken Pox or Shingles. I have no rash, or blisters and i've had Chicken Pox twice mildly as a child. Is there something else this could be that shows up as a positive result for Varicella Zoster?

Well, that makes sense.  If you had Chickenpox as a child and the blood titer came back positive for Varicella Zoster that is a GOOD thing.  That means you have immunity to this virus.  DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE CASE OF CHICKENPOX OR SHINGLES.

This was a blood titer to CHECK your immunity for Varicella Zoster.  You want the titer level to be HIGH.

It is routine to check pregnant women for this.

Re-exposure to varicella may lead to reinfection that boosts antibody titers without causing clinical illness or detectable viremia (presence of virus in the bloodstream).

Maybe it's a false positive? Did you ask the dr how often those can occur? Or it's possible the symptoms haven't set in yet.. :/
