Pressure on bridge of nose CT scan said no sinus!

Hi I woke up one day with very strong pressure on bridge of nose. It was overwhelming. I went to srs he said it was sinus gave me antibiotics. The pressure got less but as soon as antibiotics finished the intense pressure was back ...another 2 lots if antibiotics later and I came to the conclusion it never helped at all and must have been the prednisone (steroid) that helped with inflamation.
I eventually got a CT scan which said no sinus whatsoever!!!!! All clear?!
It's now been 5 months and the bridge nose pressure is constant it's affected my quality of life. So uncomfortable to exercise and concentrate at work when I have permanent pressure just on bridge of nose. There is swelling but no other symptoms. No cold symptoms, no redness or any changes to skin. What on earth could it be?? I don't wear glasses..if anyone could assist o would be so grateful. Every Internet search I do says 'ethmoid sinisitus' well CT scan said perfectly clear...no other conditions come up...

Thank you everyone. I got a referral to see the specialist who removed my tonsils a few years ago. I have been told that general doctors do not have the expertise to read CT scans...so it's worth a try. 5 months is just absurd to have constant pressure on bridge of nose. Lying down is the worst. Although burpees at the gym were a close second! I can't continue to just put up with it. I'm worried it's a pinched nerve and now nerve damage which would explain why CT scan was clear and in 5 months I've had no cold and flu symptoms. ..who knows! I will keep you posted as I've noticed so many posts on this board never ever update with the diagnosis or treatment.
I appreciate everyone who has replied. What's that saying, you never know how good you had it until your health is gone.

Wow, you gotta be kidding me!
You haven't seen an ENT yet?
I'm surprised a GP would make a such a decision.
It's like breaking rank in the military.
My GP wanted to prescribe decongestants, which I refused to take and insisted to see a specialist asap!
Please do keep us posted.

Hey Elle133.

Can a CT scan rule out sinus infections and CRS (chronic Rhinosinusitis) )?
No!
Not according to the textbook titled: "Comprehensive Otolaryngology Review: A Case-Based Approach" :
...The sensitivity and specificity of CT for the diagnosis of CRS is POOR, and findings on CT do not correlate well with symptomology...

In my case a few years back, it had to do with missed polyps,  (I don't understand how!) which were causing sinusitis symptoms and sleep apnea, so finally a great ENT, which I visited, detected the polyps with a nasal endoscopy right away.!
He also captured and recorded the endoscopic images, which he showed to me later.
I got scheduled for the polyps' surgical removal the following month and all went well. Never had any post-surgery issue. and all my symptoms, pretty much, vanished!

So please get a second opinion! Try to find a very reputable and experienced ENT. It made a world of difference in my case.
Apparently, I could have died in my sleep, from the resulting sleep apnea.

I hope this information helps.

Best wishes,
Niko

i have something very similar to what you have. I understand how you feel. strange tightness behind eyes and nose bridge which makes you feel heavy and confused all day. I also got a sinus CT which was clear. Try steam inhailing and see if it gives you any relief. My pressure has now shifted to spine at the back of my head. You can try an optician too if you like
