Random Dizziness

Recently I have been experiencing severe dizziness occurring at random. It started one year ago, I experienced it for one day back in July 2007 but i went away. But it lasts for about 12 hours, from start to finish. But i get so disoriented i can really do anything. About two hours in i am so dizzy I get nauseated and vomit. During this time my temperature is from 95.0 - 96.0 deg. After the symptoms subside. my temp return to normal (98.0). I have never has ANY problems with movement sickness, or anything. I'm kinda at a loss for this. Also - during the time when the dizziness occurs, my speech is not effected nor my memory or though process. Just completely disoriented and nauseated.

Important causes of dizziness include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or hypotension (low blood pressure) .Pls get yourself evaluated for that.

Hypotension and hypoglycemia can also cause hypothermia or low body temperature.Also get your electrolytes and mineral levels evaluated.Drink plenty of water as dehydration can lead to electrolyte imbalance which in turn can lead to low BP and hence hypothermia and dizziness.

Sometimes lack of proper sleep or taking stress can also lead to dizziness. Sometimes, there are partial or complete blockages in the arteries that supply the brain with blood.  These blockages can cause a temporary loss of blood flow (called transient ischemic attack, or TIA for short), or permanent loss of blood flow (called stroke; also called cerebrovascular accident).This can lead to impaired blood flow through these arteries and so dizziness. In such cases CT brain can be useful.

Ear infections and other causes like Meniere’s disease or inner ear diseases can lead to dizziness. If there is any ear pain or tinnitus along with then it may be the possibility.Pls get yourself evaluated for that. Get yourself examined by an eye specialist too as dizziness can also be caused by refractory changes and changes in the power of accommodation of the eyes.

Do you have any pain in the neck?Sometimes cervical spodolysis and vertenrobasilar insufficiency can also cause dizziness.

Pls check out these causes and then consult a doctor to form a confirmatory diagnosis as treatment depends on the same.
