Random Twitching/Spasms behind Right Ear?

Hello!
For informational purposes, I am a 21 year old male, I weigh 116 lbs, and I'm 5'10.

I recently notice muscle twitching behind my Right Ear, located on the stiff part of my neck behind my pulse.

It happens throughout the day at random times, when I'm laying on my side it will feel like a very quick pulse sensation, maybe 2 pulses a second. During the day it will randomly do the same thing, almost as if it's vibrating.

I'm not sure what is wrong with me, so ANY feedback is GREATLY appreciated, as I'm very concerned.

Thanks for reading!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you are involved in any job or work that uses your neck and strains it a lot like a computer job or fine machinery work etc, then the localized muscle twitch could be due to muscle strain. Good neck exercises to relieve muscle strain will help. It can also be due to a pinched cervical spinal nerve. Hence if neck exercises and warm moist heat does not help, then you need to consult a neurologist. At times TMJ too can cause a muscle to twitch behind the ear.  Do discuss with your doctor and get this treated. Take care!

116 and 5"10 holy ****!!!! Man I wish I had your genes! LOL I get stuff like that time to time. Usually by my eye though. Sometimes in my back too. I don't think it's anything to worry about. BUT if you are concerned I'd say call the dr or nurse and see what they think.
