Randome severe pain in abdomen
Hello, I'm a 19 year male college student, and I have had this problem for several years. At random moments, usually pretty rarely, I will get a sudden, sharp pain in the lower right area of my abdomen. It will cause me to panic for the brief second that it lasts (i'll clutch it etc..), because it feels really severe. It always goes away though, and since it's been a problem I've had for a long time, I don't really think it's a big issue.
I'm a small guy (5'5 116 lb), I work out 3-4 times a week -- this involves lifting weights but I'm pretty sure I had the pain before I started working out, I generally try to make healthy food choices and I believe im in decent shape. Urine looks normal.
it just really freaks me out everytime it happens. I also have random sharp pains in my chest (on either left or right side of it), but those are even more rare and don't concern me as much.
any thoughts? i looked up things about appendicitis or kidney stones, but if I've had this problem for so long I doubt it's something as imminent as that.

You were right in suspecting appendicitis and kidney stones. Kidney stones can persist for years and cause symptoms only when they start moving. They can move, cause pain and again remain in a position for long periods of time. Similarly chronic appendicitis too can behave this way with bouts of pain, localization of infection and inflammation and a symptom free period. Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. An ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen is definitely required.
