Recurring Upper Respiratory Infections

I have never smoked and only occasionally have one drink here and there. Prior to March of 2020 I was extremely healthy and then came down with a presumed case of Covid but never tested positive. Note that I was not able to have a Covid test for the first month of being ill. Symptoms included severe shortness of breath, brain fog, extreme fatigue, drenching night sweats, and unexplained weight loss for three months.

The symptoms went away for a few weeks and then returned for around a month. Since then, for nearly two years, this pattern has repeated almost monthly. The symptoms vary and are not as debilitating as they were during the initial episode, but I nearly always have some level of fatigue, shortness of breath, night sweats, cough, chills, and random other symptoms.

I have also never been able to regain the weight that I lost. I have no appetite and never feel hungry. I do eat regular (small) meals but feel extremely full after eating anything. Recently I've also had upper gi issues that seem to be much more noticeable when I have the upper respiratory symptoms. These symptoms include feeling like I am unable to keep food down, even though I do, and regurgitating stomach acid.

Over the past two years I've been tested for Covid many times and it has always been negative. I've seen countless specialists and have had a lot of blood work done, none of which has ever led to any kind of diagnosis.

One specialist I am currently seeing assumes this is a case of long Covid even though I have never tested positive. This has been extremely frustrating.

One other thing to note is I seem to have odd reactions to most medication and vaccines, but my immunology testing hasn't shown any reason why.

Are there any other potential explanations that my doctors may have overlooked? Are there any specific tests that should be done that may have been overlooked? If this is not Covid then I don't know what could be wrong with me. Thank you.
