Renal stone & Phlebolith

I am 29 year male and was diagnosed with bilateral renal calculi in 2000 and have been suffering since 2000. Recently got Ultra sound scan and found 7 mm stone in left kidney and 3mm stone in right kidney. I am adviced by urologist to have  Plain KUB CT scan and the reuslt is: 8.0 X 4.32 mm calculi in left kidney, extra renal pelvis on left side and phleboliths in right pelvic. I am worried about phleboliths and got some information by googling that phleboliths are having no medical significance but still i am getting panic as it is an abnormal observation. Also i was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) in 2000. Anybody please explain is there any relation between phebloliths, IBS and Renal calculi. What precautions i should take in this condition.

Was reading recently that drinking one or two beers a day can actually help kidney function and dissolve some type of kidney stones.

You likely saw the e-how information, am I right?

Phleboliths apparently are also known as vein stones.  Distinguishing between those and ureteral stones or calcified lymphnodes is something the radiologist hopefully can do successfully.   See private message for more info re: phleboliths.

It's important to determine the type of kidney stones you are suffering from:

so your doctor can know best how to treat you.
