Rib Pain

I am a 39 year old, 5 year breast cancer survivor.  I have noticed a "sore" spot on my rib cage.  It sometimes feels like there is a small knot there, and sometimes it doesn't.  It is only tender to the touch so I forget about it being there until I bump it or I wear a tight bra.  Should I be overly concerned considering my history?  I had my PET and CT scans in February and everything was fine.  I am kind of freaking out because cancer is always in the back of my mind.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
In all probability this pain is due to costochondritis and applying a local analgesic and taking an anti inflammatory will help. However, please consult your doctor once considering your history. Even though chances of spread of cancer to bone are minimal, it should be ruled out. Take care!

I have experienced night sweats on occasion...not often...but do feel like I'm running a low-grade fever alot of the time.

I assume its not something serious. But if you are experiencing weight loss,  night sweats or fever, you should get yourself checked. Take care.
