Rocking Vertigo Synced with Heartbeat - re opend forum

I couldnt post on the previous forum for this topic so i had to re open it

this is incredible because I could not find anyone else with my symptoms feeling that rocking sensation in sync with my heart beat especially when laying down from standing up, or when straining of any kind , 5 years ago i did hit my head on a glass sliding door but i didnt feel anything emidiatly or the next day so we can't really say if that is the cause or not , however ...... we did discover that my bite is off alignment my bottom jaw has grown to far so I get TMJ from eating my jaw joints are always a little sore , and when i relax the jaw or when the jaw decides to relax my vertigo usually greatly improves , its very easy to miss the jaw pain because of the dizzy pulsating movement u get so it took me a while to realise how sore my jaw joint actually is , one day i went to a chiropractor and he put his hand in my mouth and put pressure on my jaw and I felt the muscle let go and release like a charly horse in your jaw , and i felt my estachian tube drain and my rocking motion and vertigo went away almost 100% but it only lasted for about 7 minutes then it slowly came back and was fully on by the time i got home , so u guys may want to check out your jaw and also put your finger up to your ear area when ur getting the pulsing can u feel a heart beat in there ? i can at times , and I also see some people on here saying when they lay on a side they get more movement well that could be because if your jaw is sore on the right side in that joint putting pressure on it by laying on it can aggrivate it and make it pound more giving u more sensation this is what i have discoverd over time , u may have a TMJ issue and not even know, sometimes my jaw will feel normal because i am so used to the slight pain and then the muslce will spazm and then release and i feel fluid shifting inside my ear and drain down my eustachain and then almost always i feel a little better and sometimes a lot better , denstist are using a special stem cell appliance to expand my top jaw and match it with the bottom to fix my bite also does anyone feel the vertigo or rocking motion while u are eating ? or chewing or in sync with your chew thats another thing i get, I would love to share info i have much more on this condition and am desperatly searching to resolve it were hoping by fixing the bite that the muscles will relax and let things flow as they should but that could just be an outside layer affecting a deeper cause we don't know because no dr can figure this out fully I have had every test u can imagine MRI been to some of the best drs in the world Dr black who has worked on astranots dr at ohsu and they are stumped send me an email to ******** @ *****.com if u have any info or questions we need to get to the bottom of this its terrible and has highjacked 5 years of my life already I am 24 years old

Hi! This can be a pulsatile tinnitus where you hear your own pulse. The most common cause of pulsatile tinnitus is noisy blood flow as blood pushes through plaques or kinks in the arteries in the head or neck. It can be made worse if there is also hypertension. Several types of fistulas in the blood vessels of head and neck, especially the carotid artery or jugular vein can also cause this.
Increased blood flow as seen in anemia and hyperthyroid state can also cause pulsatile tinnitus. Fluid in middle ear can be another cause. Vascular tumors of middle ear such as glomus tumors or paragangliomas can also cause this.
Please consult an ENT specialist and a vascular specialist for this. You may need angiograms, dopplar studies of vessels of head and neck and may be CT scans of ear.
Other than that the TMJ is not yet well controlled. You must consult a well trained Neuromuscular Dentist for an evaluation. You will need to get a CBCT or a 3D CT Scan done.  This will give the position of your TMJ concyles in relation to the ear. A more posterior placement can cause dizziness for some patients. Also, it is important to evaluate whether additionally you have elongated, calcified Stylomandibular Ligaments. This can cause pain while bending the neck and turning. Moist heat or cold packs on the face, massage, vitamin supplements, or biofeedback are useful for some people. Usually people find a method that brings relief by trial and error. Consult an ENT specialist.
Hope this helps. Take care!

How about Benign Positional Vertigo or Chiari Malformation. Have your MRI's re-checked for the Chiar. It can also be Chiari type 1 or zero.
I have type 1 with vertigo. My doctors say I could have both!

Does your vertigo increase if you increase pressure in the ear by pinching your nose shut and blowing?
Perhaps this may be a pressure induced vertigo, with Carotid pulsations being somehow transmitted to the middle ear (? related to your TMJ problem / muscle spasm/injury) and from there to your inner ear.
Seeing an ENT Surgeon might help!
