Severe Head aches

I had a fever a few days ago and I feel fine now except I have a bit of a runny nose and  severe head aches I get every time I stand up or even move. There's no dizziness, just this horrible throbbing that lasts 3-7 minutes and slowly goes away....until I need to move again. This hasn't happened in the past when I've gotten sick. Is this normal or should I see a doctor?

Hi.  Sounds as tho you have developed a sinus infection.  One sure way to find out is if you bend over, your headache gets worse.
You will need an antibiotic to clear it up.  Sometimes sinus infections can be tricky, and can require 2 rounds of antibiotics.  When they are deep in the nasal cavity it's hard for them to drain.
Hope this helps you.

It does appear that you still may have congestion in the sinuses that may be causing the headaches.

The best way to clear blocked sinuses is to do steam inhalations.
To do this, boil up a kettleful of water (taking care not to get scalded) and pour this into a bowl.  Put in some Vick or olbas oil or any menthol drops that you like.  Bend your head over the bowl of water and cover your head and the bowl with a towel.  Breath in the steam through your nose and out through your mouth.  Do this 4 times a day if you can and for a duration of 10 minutes each time.

This also helps to clear up any congestion in the ears and in the Eustachian tube.

Update* my head aches actually have been lasting much longer. It's more like a constant thrum and the pain just intensifies when I move.
