Almost three weeks ago, I started to notice a sharp pain on the right side of my head whenever I would swallow. I notice it mostly when I drink something cold, but occasionally feel the pain when I drink something more warm or eat solids. I don’t have any additional throat, neck or head pain. The pain I do feel is restricted to the right side of my head, towards the middle/back. It’s hard to gauge because the pain is inside my head.
I have no other symptoms other than a dry back of throat (may be from my offices constant air conditioning), occasional lump in my throat and tension headaches (may be from me stressing about what is wrong and non-related life stresses).
I’d really appreciate any insight as I’ve never experienced this before. I don’t recall hurting myself or doing something to have caused this. The only things I can think of is I started lifting weights again, accidentally choked on food a couple days prior to the pain and had a random head spasm/twitch where I whipped my head hard. These things happened separately, but not sure if they could cause this frequent pain. I do have an appointment with an ENT next week to hopefully find some answers.
Thank you!
