Reference my wife Shingles and blisters.  Yesterday, Saturday, 12/26, we went to an Emergency Clinic.  There the doctor said she did have Shingles.  She prescribed Valacyclovir 10 mg tablets, her anti-viral, takes three per day for seven days, also prescribed Mupirocin 2% for the blisters and Hydrocodone/APAP, SMG/325mg Tabs for pain.  Recommended if pain is unbearable to go to the ER for possible admitance to Hospital and intravenious pain care.  So far she has slept a lot.  Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or shingles. Shingles occurs in people who have had chickenpox and represents a reactivation of the dormant varicella-zoster virus. The first sign is usually a tingling feeling, itchiness, or stabbing pain on the skin. After a few days, a rash appears as a band or patch of raised dots on the side of the trunk or face. The rash develops into small, fluid-filled blisters which begin to dry out and crust over within several days. When the rash is at its peak, symptoms can range from mild itching to extreme and intense pain.

Treatment of shingles includes antiviral drugs, steroids, analgesics and anti viral eye drops.
My sincere advice is to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Warm regards.
