Shingles

I had shingles about 2 months ago.  The pain was unbearable.  I am experiencing that same exact pain again in a different area but there isn't a rash.  Is it possible to get shingles again?  Without a rash?  The pain is exactly the same.

I have heard of this happening after Shingles because of nerve damage, and the pain can come and go, but this is generally in the area where Shingles was in the first place. You could be getting another outbreak of Shingles in a different area, which is totally possible. During this time, I think you should try to relax as much as possible because stress can create the perfect environment for Shingles to resurface. If it gets really bad (the outbreak, not necessarily the pain without the rash), you could try going to the doctor and asking for antiviral medication.

I had it 3 years ago on the whole right arm and chest area and still healing as of today what you are going through is nerve damage that will heal itself over time some ppl never get it some ppl it just takes time but it will get better it is rare that you will get it again.

Yes, you can get shingles over and over and you can also have breakouts inside your body, or under the skin. Does the area feel warm at all? Shingles are miserable and I hope you can shake the outbreak soon. Good luck.
