Sinus Infection or more serious?

All right to start off, I've been to a doctor and his conclusion was that I might have a sinus infection, but any and all research i've done only points to some of the problems I'm having, so I'll just post this and hopes of someones knowledge or opinion being returned.

about 6 - 7 weeks ago I was in class and I believe I lost consciousness or passed out for maybe 3 - 5 seconds, because when I came to I felt as If I had just woken up, I remember exactly what happened but not right after. Once this had happened I noticed the next day that I was feeling VERY foggy headed, not so much lightheaded but more of a buzzed or drunk feeling, it was hard to catch and pay attention to things, and its always there but it lightens up sometimes. Well the following week I was in class and noticed that on top of being very out of it, I felt very weak and just tired, as if I had been doing strenuous activity, but I wasn't. This continued for about 2 weeks and continued to worsen even more so, the light headed thing has gotten worse once and its stayed the same but the fatigue and psychical symptoms are getting worse. about the 3rd week into this I started having headaches, they feel almost like a sinus headache because when I move my head they get worse and they just generally feel like one, but they are always one side of my head or the other, and can last for days, and they from the temporal area all the way down to my neck and it makes my neck hurt and feel odd, these symptoms have pretty much stuck with me and have stayed the same. it gets alot worse if i don't eat, but my doc ran blood tests for my LIpid, platelet count, metabolic panel, and hepatic functions and they all returned perfect. Hey said it may be a sinus infection so he prescribed me flonase.

I've seen people with the same issues and symptoms and they've gone years without a cure, so if anyone has an idea or advice I'd appreciate it, I would like to avoid as much testing as possible because I have no insurance and I don't want my doctor to get test happy and go on a wild goose chase.

Ok so its been almost a month now and to no avail.
I went to the doc, and he thought it may have been a sinus infection which I don't think it was, as the flonase made me feel like **** and I took it for a week and nothing really changed. I told him this and he decided to do a thyroid exam and see if this might be the case so right now I'm waiting on this. If anyone has any othe suggestions as to what may be wrong please post it.

my symptoms are:
1. Lightheaded or foggy headed, it gets to the point of almost passing out if I don't eat every 5 to 6 hours.
2. Constant fatigue and absoutely no tolerance to physical activity.
3. I've had a couple episodes to where I would be sitting there and it was almost as if I had passed out or lost conciousness for just a few seconds but thats only happened maybe 2 or 3 times in the past 2 months
4. More frequently defacating and less frequently urinating.
5. This is unusual for me but I gained almost 20Lbs in about 2 months, I never gain wait so its out of the ordinary.
6. If I don't sleep for long periods of time then my body feels worse than it originally did, and I often wake up in my sleep.
7. Sometimes I feel better than other days but generally I feel terrible.
8. I'm not having memory problems or anything like that but I at one point did have absent seizures but they only lasted a month and haven't had any problems since.
9. I had an MRI and the results stated I had injured my right lateral ventricle but they said the damage was miniscule.
10 Sometimes and very rarely I get ringing in my ears that is VERY loud to where I cannot hear anything and it slowly tones down over a course of about 15 seconds
11. I've noticed that my immune system is being hindered as whern I get a cold it takes others a few days but me twice as long.
12. At first I had a constant headache and i would have migrane that felt like sinus headaches that were extremely bad, but now I rarely have them at all.

That pretty much covers it so if anyone has any suggestions or anything to offer I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you very much, I also forgot to mention the reason why my doc perscribed the flonase was because I've been having inner ear and just ear problems for about 2 years no, I do on occasion have times when my hearing will bug out and a loud high pitch noise takes over for about 2 - 5 seconds, and about 1 week ago I had a problem to where I had a very loud one hit and it lasted almost 30 seconds and after that my hearing felt off for a little bit, I do have ear aches sometimes but not very frequently, I haev noticed that the ringing in my ears which is common for me, is a bit louder that normal, I can usually deal with it, but now its very annoying if I'm in a quiet room.

I suppose these would point to a sinus problem or ear problem, its just that some of the sinus infection stuff doesn't even relate to what I'm having.

I don't know if this is significant or not but, I'm visually impaired and I spend alot of my time on the computer as I'm a systems admin, so I sit fairly close to the screen alot and am hunched over alot, I have been lately, getting funny feelings in my arms, like they are weak and like its hard to use them and i get this funny buzzing feeling in my back left shoulder.
But that just started recently, so I really don't know.
anyway, I'll keep you up to date, I'm gonna hold out for a week and if it worsens or doesn't improve I'll talk to my doctor.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
The symptoms you face could be due to severe hypoglycemia. You probably do not eat well or eat after long gaps. This could also precipitate acidity which further aggravates the problems.
Eat at regular intervals, take omeprazole or any other OTC antacid and see if this makes a difference.
The other possibility is that you also have compression of spinal nerves in the cervical region. Overuse of computers along with studying in a wrong posture can precipitate this. This can also cause headaches on turning the head. A chiropractor too can help you with this.
The other possibility is that you have postural hypotension, vasovagal attacks. These can happen on prolonged sitting, standing or change of position (for postural hypotension only).
You would need further tests and follow up with a doctor. Explore the medical options available and see.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
