Something wrong with womb?

Hi everyone I didn't know where to post this!
I had to see a Gynaeologist (Sorry for the poor spelling) as I had an inflammed cervix and they have told me my womb is dark pink due to the hormones from my pill. They then said I would need injections to freeze and then burn this? I don't really understand why and they weren't much help and also this sounds very painful?! Anyone had this kind of thing done before to put my mind at ease?!
Also can you be put to sleep during this kind of thing? As I tense up for everything which makes the simplest thing painful so I don't want to think about the pain for this!

Thank you

Thank you for your reply! I don't think the nurse had a clue what she was doing to be honest! She just told me it was a darkish pink colour due to the pill and then another doctor that didn't even examine me explained I would need that procedure but I don't have anything bad and it's not cancerous? I am going to talk to my doctor about it but just wanted some opinions really!

I know that abnormal cells on the cervix are usually frozen and removed in order to prevent cervical cancer, so I believe that is what your doctor is talking about. They generally use a local anasthetic on your cervix. It shouldn't affect your ability to have a baby, assuming they only freeze a small area.

You should definitely ask your doctor these questions before the procedure so you understand and can agree to it. I don't know anything about hormones changing the color of a womb, but another good question to ask your doctor is whether you could have an infection that is causing the inflammation on your cervix. An infection could affect your ability to have a baby.

Also I know this is probably a stupid question but being the paranoid person that I am thought I'd ask haha :)
Can this burning to the womb cause me to not be able to have kids?
Thank you!
